Actually I saw their announcement saying the next episode of DD will be split into two which means, 10 mins for ep200 and another 10 mins for ep201. So technically, they'll only return to the continent in ep202.

After reading what happened to Swallowed Star I was kind of disheartened and stopped reading from forums and was busy with real life things, no wonder on tencent streaming there is an episode 200 and 201 locked

They cited COVID as the main reason for their lack of staff. Apparently their Hangzhou-based office is shut down due to COVID and staffs have to work from home. They were unable to keep up with the work schedule and therefore decided to shorten the episode instead of skipping it totally. There are a few accounts that post the updates and even write their own fan fictions. I was so bored that I even paid to read their fan fictions. Trust me, most of them write better than TJSS.

You’re right, TJSS is really good at writing detailed fights in tournaments and that’s perhaps one of his fortes. But other than that, he sucks at writing romantic relationships, character development and plot building. His story always starts well, it climaxes and then it takes a dive down the cliff.

But I’m the type of person that sticks to the series until the end if I like the MC, even if other characters get on my nerves and drive me up the wall AKA Xiao Wu. I guess that’s the only reason I’m reading DD5. Although I can’t stand Xiao Wu but I’m willing to put up with her for TS and that shows how much I like the character TS. Nevertheless the character Xiao Mei is much more tolerable compared to Xiao Wu although she’s still freeloading off TS.

As for the other future sequels, I don’t think I’ll be reading them, especially not Huo Yuhao’s son. Nope, don’t like the father and I probably won’t like the son either because I’m a bit tired of this whole Tang Family saga. It’s difficult to endure once you root for a certain character and suddenly in the sequel that character is ruined by his son-in-law. @Dase is right! When the story has ended for a decent character, I should not have continued reading the sequels especially when the MC has changed. DD is not perfect but it’s still the best among all the DD sequels.

Though I must say, I actually enjoyed DD3.5 very much. I like the story of all the God Kings working together to leave the Black Hole. Yes, I might just be tempted to read how the Great God Circle Divine Realm develops into a God Star. That would be a fitting finale with TS being the leader of the Multi-Universe. I don’t mind Xuanyu but he still lacks the pulling power of TS so if the MC of DD7 is Xuanyu again, then I will bid the whole DD series goodbye!
